Two remarkable carouches are present, one for each continent. The upper left shows North America with Europeans in a prominent conquering position with swords and globes. Mythical and sophisticated allegories are superbly interwoven into this image. The bottom cartouche is for South America around the base of the title Indians gather in contemporary dress, to exchange goods including a Lama. In the background is the Andes mountain range. In this cartouche the publishers details are shown. A large part of North America is still unknown and is left blank and the shoreline of Lake Superior is not complete. Colonial territories of the European powers are clearly highlighted and the home regions of the individual tribes are noted. The outline of the island of Tierra del Fuego is visible, dispelling the myth that South America was connected with Antarctica. In the Western Pacific Ocean are some well known land masses around Australia. In the east the western coast of Spain is shown. The labels on the maps are placed strategically so to give the reader the impression that the continents are well explored. Auffallend sind die beiden großen Kartuschen, eine für jeden Teil des Kontinents. Oben links die Titelkartusche für Nordamerika. Prächtig eingebunden in eine Szenerie mythischer und mondäner Allegorien. Im Hintergrund ein Tempel. Vorn Götterdarstellungen, europäische Entdecker und Eroberer mit Eingeborenem. Deutlich wird die übergeordnete Stellung der Europäer. Am unteren Rand die Titelkartusche für Südamerika. Ein Sockel bildet die Grundlage. Um diesen herum scharen sich Indianer in Tracht mit Tauschgütern und Lama. Im Hintergrund die Anden. In dieser Kartusche Privileg und Verlegeradresse. Ein großer Teil von Nordamerika ist noch unbekannt. Die Küstenlinie des Lake Superior ist nicht vollendet. Die kolonialen Gebiete der europäischen Mächte sind deutlich hervorgehoben, aber noch nicht weiter unterteilt. Die Heimatregionen der einzelnen Indianerstämme sind vermerkt. Der Inselcharakter von Feuerland ist erkennbar. Der Mythos einer Verbindung mit dem großen südlichen Kontinent wurde hier nicht aufrecht gehalten. Im Westen sind einige bekannte Ausläufer der Landmassen um Australien vermerkt, auch wenn diese sehr fehlerhaft sind. Im Osten sind noch Teile Europas abgebildet. Schenk variiert in den Positionen der Beschriftungen. Er erwerkt nicht den Eindruck, dass die beiden Kontinente durchgehend gut erforscht wären.
